Meat Trax is a traceability solution based on Auto ID technologies like Linear barcodes, 2D Barcodes and RFID. Purpose is to uniquely identify and track life cycle of meat from cattle to end consumer.

We can provide information on attributes like ownership information, health, growth and immunization records. Meat traceability in Pakistan is a challenge specially due to non-regulated cattle farming and slaughtering practices.

We propose a framework to Register, Track and Link information from each handling unit;

Form Cattle Farms to Slaughter Houses to processing facilities till the end to sales and distribution channels.

Meat Trax uses RFID / Visual ID animal tags which contain and link information of ownership, birth, periodic immunization, growth records till the slaughter house operations . Sales and Supply Chain operations are linked with prior processes and provide details to end consumers.

Tagged animal’s data can be read and updated using mobile computing platform of Meat Trax; some data is residual on tag and the rest of data events are stored on cloud and are verifiable and updated as required on periodic basis.

Slaughter Houses are equipped with Meat Trax aggregation stations; slaughter house operations are certified by regulatory authorities to insure quality of operations and selection of healthy and traceable animals. Tags removed at slaughter stage are linked to new generated Auto ID tags for carcass. Later the meat cuts are linked with carcass ID.

Consumer can use our mobile apps to be sure of traceability of animals and quality of meat from our secure cloud infrastructure.
